The Million Minsters Mandate Powerful Update

We are about to step into the 3rd Millennium of the Church. The Global Church Network is making plans to celebrate the 2000th Birthday of the Church on June 9-11, 2030 in Jerusalem, Israel. While at the same time, we commemorate the 2nd millennium, we will be stepping into the 3rd millennium. While none of us may know when Christ will return, we do know that we are living in the last, last days.

The Church does not have a harvest problem but a labor shortage. When the harvest has slowed down in a region, it is not because God is not concerned or the ground is too hard, but it is because there are not enough laborers. We must pray to the Lord of the Harvest to thrust more laborers into the harvest field (Luke 10:3-4). Even though these laborers will be like “lambs among wolves,” they will come back rejoicing for what the Lord has done through them in the harvest field!

When the Global Church Network was launched in January 2002, our focus was and still is to help equip ministers toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We are humbled by the growth of GCN and how far we have come. Yet, our measurement is based upon how far we have come, but rather the finish line before us. What is success? Success can be summarized by finding God’s will, following God’s will and finishing God’s will.

GCN officially launched its Million Ministers Mandate in January 2022, at the Synergize 2022 Conference. Since its launch, we have been hosting FINISH Summits worldwide. So far, FINISH Summits have been held in the Caribbean, Asia, West Africa, Europe, and Southern Africa. At each summit, the regional leaders set a goal as to the number of trained ministers they believe is needed to complete the Great Commission. So far, the global collective goal is $1,073,000. The Million Ministers Mandate wheel graph tabulates the grand total to date and shows the upcoming regions for FINISH Summits. When the grand total is complete, it is estimated to be nearly 3,000,000.

If the Church is going to be able to complete the Great Commission, this is not possible without enough preachers of Gospel, pastors for the current churches worldwide and church planters, especially in the hardest places on earth. We believe there are five phases to the finish line.

DISCOVERY—Life is made up of discovery. Each day we should strive to think a new thought, meet a new friend, and to take the extra step forward. With our FINISH Summits, we discover and learn where the Church is and where the Church is not. It is not possible reach a goal if one does not know what the goal is.

DEVELOPMENT—Once we have discovered new friends and new thoughts, it is the leader’s responsibility to develop it and cultivate it. Once the seed has been planted, then we must water it, fertilize it and help to grow it. From the beginning of GCN, our team began videotaping powerful and transformational content for the entire Body of Christ. With that in mind, we have sought out the best teachers and developed the best training. We teach that relationship currency is more valuable than the wealth of the world.

DISTRIBUTION—If any organization or business is going to be successful, then it must be able to distribute its resources. In January, 2002, we launched the Global Church Divinity School (GCDS.tv) to help develop pastors, teachers, church planters and disciples. Today, GCDS has more than 260 courses, more than 2000 faculty, more than 2,600 lectures in eight languages. By 2030, the GCDS will be in 25 major languages.

DEPLOYMENT—Dr. Elmer Towns, Cofounder of Liberty Universtiy and CoChair of the Global Church Divinity School believes it takes to wings to fly. A one-wing bird will never get off the ground. The Global Church Network continues to launch Hubs worldwide. During a FINISH Summit, key leaders are selected to be HUB leaders. After the FINISH Summit is completed, the Hubs will be launched in that region. We believe the best training takes place onground and online. Every Hub has two trainers who teach the Global Church Training Curriculum of 30 courses over a two-year period of time. Then, there is graduation and the Hub multiplies into more Hubs and training continues throughout the nation and region!

DEFINE—As the FINISH Summits are ultimately completed in every region, the Church will know what “the goal is” for the training of ministers. It will be a defined, measurable goal. The Global Church Network has defined this goal as:

  • 9 billion prayer hours for the emerging 9 billion people on earth
  • 25 major languages of the Global Church Divinity School
  • 800 Hubs in every nation
  • 3,000 adopted unreached people groups
  • 1,000,000 new ministers for the Gospel

The finish line is before and we are running together to stand in the winners circle on June 9-11, 2030, in Jerusalem, Israel. You are invited to signup for Jerusalem 2030 (Jerusalem2030.com) and to run this race with us. We must cast aside anything that slows us and get rid of anything that might trip us up (Hebrews 12:1-3).

I cannot thank enough our financial partners, our prayer partners, our CoChairs, Hub leaders and Hub trainers. We are collectively creating onramps onto the highway of ministry! We are making it harder for people to live on this earth and not know who Jesus is. While we are getting ready for the Second Coming of Christ, we must announce His First Coming to the world!
