Synergy in Ministry, by Doug Beacham: A Must Read!

Dear Visionary Leader,

Since global population is expected to exceed eight billion people in the next ten years, synergistic strategies between churches, denominations and ministries are a must in order to remotely fulfill the Great Commission. In the past, churches measured their success based upon their seating capacity; but today it is based upon their sending capacity. There is not one single organization, denomination or church that has the capacity to evangelize the entire world without the networking and partnering of others worldwide.

Powerful synergy exist when people or organizations are able to maintain their uniqueness and growth, while at the same time compounding their value toward a goal that is unreachable with their own capacity. The biannual Synergize Conference (www.synergize.tv) has been designed and deployed with these strategic thoughts in mind. Be sure to download Dr. Doug Beacham’s remarkable article, “Creating Synergy Among Leaders.”

Synergy In Ministry By Doug Beacham

Dr. Doug Beacham, the Presiding Bishop for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, understands Synergy in Ministry like very few key leaders do. Last year, while Doug and I were in a Billion Soul Summit together, he brought a powerful presentation on “Creating Synergy Among Leaders.” I believe every pastor and leader should take a few moments to download this article, read it and pass it on to others. Here is a small excerpt:

The English word synergy is based on the Greek noun “synergos” and the verb “synergeo.” The noun refers to “fellow-workers, helpers, workers-together,” while the verb is “working with, cooperate with, be helpful.” This noun is used most frequently in the New Testament, primarily by Paul: Romans 16:3, 9, 21; 2 Corinthians 1:24; 8:23; Philippians 2:25; 4:3; Colossians 4:11; 1 Thessalonians 3:2; Philemon 1, 24. It is also used by the Apostle John in 3 John 8.3. The verb is used by Paul in Romans 8:28; 1 Corinthians 16:16; 2 Corinthians 6:1. It is also used in Mark 16:20 and James 2:22. A review of some of these verses gives us insight into the biblical nature of synergy.

I have highlighted the use of synergy in Paul’s letters, as well as, other key texts, so as to draw our attention to the biblical framework for understanding synergy among leaders. I believe it is imperative for us as Christian leaders to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying to us regarding the kind of synergy and effort that bears fruit that will remain for Christ (John 15:16).

The entire seven page article, “Creating Synergy Among Leaders” is available for download on www.billion.tv for you.
The more we synergize together the more we can mobilize and evangelize together! Blessings.
