The Global Church Listening Forum Hosted At Wesleyan Headquarters!

Dear Visionary Leader:

The Global Church Listening Forum convened last week at the Wesleyan Headquarters, located in the Greater Indianapolis area, Indiana. Christian leaders synergized their efforts together from many different streams of Christianity from Pakistan, India, Nigeria, China, Canada and the United States. Over the last two years, the Global Church Listen Forum has been focused on synergistically adopting the unreached people groups of Ansari in India, Hui in China and Qashqai in Iran. Even though there is much work yet to be done, much has been accomplished toward the engagement of these three people groups with the Gospel.

Additionally, there were several outstanding teachings delivered by Glenn Burris, President of Foursquare Church, Doug Beacham, Presiding Bishop of International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Jo Anne Lyon, General Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church, James O. Davis, Cofounder of Billion Soul Network, Leonard Sweet, renowned author and futurist and Elmer Towns, Dean of Global Church Learning Center and Cofounder of Liberty University.

Missional updates were presented by Ademola Ishola, President Emeritus of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Dennis Jackson, Global Partners Director of the Wesleyan Church, Jim Scott, World Missions Director for the Foursquare Church, Greg Munson/James Taylor IV, Overseas Missionary Fellowship, Alex Abraham, Operation Agape, India, and Haroon Bhatti, Lahore, Pakistan. Each report was thorough and inspirational!

The Billion Soul Network continues to build a global communications platform each week so pastors and leaders, from different Christian traditions can synergize their efforts and energies toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Christian Healthcare Ministries: The Biblical Solution to Healthcare Costs

Founded in 1981, Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) is the original health care sharing ministry for Christians. CHM is a nonprofit, voluntary cost-sharing ministry through which participating Christians meet each other’s medical bills. CHM members have shared more than $1 billion in medical bills. The ministry is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Christian Healthcare Ministries is not a health insurance company. Rather, we are a group of thousands of Christians across the United States and around the world who share each other’s burdens in the area of health care costs. We also pray for and encourage one another.

They have existed as a ministry for more than 30 years and have served more than 100,000 people. CHM is based on Galatians 6:2 and Acts 2 and 4. Learn more at www.chministries.org.

If we are going to add compounding value into other people’s lives, then we need to create a culture of mutual genuine respect for one another. At the recent Global Church Listening Forum, in addition to receiving powerful life-transformational teaching, we experienced very special moments that bound the group closer together for years to come.

Jo Anne Lyon, General Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church, presented to Leonard Sweet a most prestigious plaque to honor his late mother, Reverend Mabel Sweet. With this presentation was completed, there was a standing ovation as to the deep meaning of this powerful presentation.

Each year, the Billion Soul Network presents the Global Church Teacher Award. For 2015, Leonard Sweet received this highly distinguished award for all of his teachings, writings and books that he has contributed to the global Church in recent years. Several of his most recent books have become Best Sellers worldwide. Leonard Sweet is considered to be in the top ten most influential Evangelicals in North America.

All of the teachings at the Global Church Listening Forum were recorded and will eventually be posted in the Global Church Learning Center. On the final day, Glenn Burris, President of the Foursquare Church brought a powerful training to all of the leaders. In summary, Glenn stated that there are three kinds of people. First, there is the ignorantly unconscious: This is the person who does not know that he does not know. Second, there is the conscious ignorant person: This is the person who knows he/she does not know but does not care about it. Third, there is the person who is consciously confident: This is the person who knows that he/she knows and acts accordingly.

In the Global Church, these three categories of people exist today. There are those who don’t know that they don’t know, those who know that they don’t know and don’t care and those who know that they know and are acting on it. I challenge you to be the be person knows the circumference of Christianity and lives your life in sync with what the Lord is doing today. Blessings.
