Dr. Bill Bright, Dr. Robert Schuller, Dr. James O. Davis & The Billion Soul Harvest

Dear Visionary Leader,
During the National Day of Prayer in 2005, I was deeply fortunate to spend the day with the late Dr. Robert Schuller. Over the years, I loved the creative and innovative thinking of Dr. Schuller. He was the founder of the Hour of Power and the Chrystal Cathedral. At the peak of his television ministry, more than 20 million people watched the Hour of Power each weekend.

If you have never read, If It Is Going To Be, It Is Up To Me, by Dr. Schuller, I encourage you do so. It is a strategic, creative classic. Here are the eight proven principles:

  • Possibilities Must Be Weighed
  • Priorities My Be Swayed
  • Plans Must Be Laid
  • Commitments Must Be Made
  • The Price Must Be Paid
  • The Timing May Be Delayed
  • The Course Must Be Stayed
  • The Trumpets Will Be Played

The reason for my trip to be with Dr. Schuller was to spend the day discussing creativity, ideas, and concepts. We literally spent the day together discussing how the mind works and how a creative spirit develops ideas, and how ideas can become concepts. It was one of the greatest creative conversations I have ever had in my life.

One question I asked Dr. Schuller was, “What is the difference between a person-made idea and a God-made idea?” Here is his answer:

A God idea will 1) Be completely holy on every side and angle of it. There will be nothing unholy about the idea; 2) Need a lot of people to help fulfill the idea. A single person cannot complete a God-idea without the help of others; 3) Help a lot of people worldwide; and 4) Require humility and teachability of all participants. If someone else is already doing the idea, it is important not to compete but to complete.

When Dr. Bill Bright, the Founder of Campus Crusade, and I were forming the Global Church Network (GCNW.tv) and the Global Divinity School (GCDS.tv), we were synergizing our efforts together to frame the vision of Five Million New Churches for a Billion Soul® Harvest. As we framed the vision, we knew in our spirit that this was a God-idea. For more than two and a half years, we worked hard together to create and cast the vision from March 2001 through July 2003.

In recent times, we have watched some people parading around using Billion Soul® and infringing on Global Church Network’s uncontested trademark, Billion Soul® Harvest. We have never met them or partnered with them. These individuals have been repeatedly communicated with, but they have chosen to ignore our communication and bring confusion.

We are grateful to share that on November 7, 2019, collectively, over a 15-year period of time, five million new churches for a Billion Soul® Harvest were accomplished.

Five Million New Churches For A Billion Soul® Harvest

As of today, since we launched the Billion Soul® Harvest, 7,267,380 churches have been planted and 1,384,588,180 souls have been saved! Please take a moment to reread those numbers. Twenty-five years ago, the Global Church Network chose not to compete but to complete; not to copy but to create, not to dream but to do.

Over the last year, Dr. Mike Sherbino, Founder of The Perspective Television Program, and I began serving together. His programs are entitled.
